What pair of wheels do you cruise in?
The XtraCycle with BionX Assist, most of the time.
Why do you bike?
It’s a much better perspective on life than a car, most of my trips are under 2 miles, it’s better for me and the planet. I feel safer on a bike–is that funny? I’m not going as fast, and I have to pay more attention.
Which Vespertine item keeps you shining?
Cinnabar Flash Riding Dress–It literally saved my skin when I crashed in February!
There has to be more you want to tell us! Any awkward biking moments? Bike stories/jokes?
I have biked with my daughter Lilah since I was pregnant with her and then since she was 5 months old and sitting up. She thinks the bike is her normal mode of transport. I’ve saved over 700 miles in the car since I bought that cargo bike-and every mile more enjoyable than being in traffic! We have lots of hills here so the electric assist is essential to bringing kids and gear. The coolest thing I’ve put on the bike (although it’s hard to pick) is my Thanksgiving turkey from a local farm. Since I use my bike as my main transport, I am always looking for clothes I can wear that do double duty–look like everyday wear and can protect me on the bike. I love my Riding Dress (which I use as a jacket) and I always get compliments on it. If only you made the perfect pair of riding trousers…
