The traditional neon yellow safety vest has taken on a whole new sartorial meaning in France, with the Yellow Vests (Gilets Jaunes) movement taking to the streets and manifesting for social change. I first had the idea of creating a reflective safety fashion brand when I became a city biker while living in Paris. On a personal level, it's a bit surreal for me to see this traditional vest, which motivated me to create different options for stylish high-vis reflective wear, now flooding the streets of Paris en masse! It certainly is a powerful visual, and gives much to reflect on ;)
