We are thrilled to announce the pre-release of our favorite new Cuba doc, Havana Motor Club. While the world races to Havana, this little-Indie-that-could is now available in your living room on ITunes Movies (featured on its home page with heavy hitters, Star Wars, The Hunger Games, Point Break, and The Revenant) and Amazon. We’re not normally motor-heads but these hot rods and the struggles and triumphs of the men who race them, are a fascinating portrait of Cuba today that’s not to be missed. Rev up to watch the show with a glowing review from Top Gear. And please help us keep the momentum building by sharing the film with your friends.
There are only about 38 cars per 1000 inhabitants in Cuba (2008), compared with 809 per 1000 in the USA (2011). With so few cars on the road, it can be a fantastic place to travel by bike. This People for Bikes‘ blog post, Bike Riding in Cuba? Sí, se puede., by travel filmmaker and avid cyclist, Ryan Van Duzer, will have you hopping a flight to Havana. Be prepared, your profound experience there may drive you to gift your bike when you leave, as Duzer did. And be sure to bring along your Vespertine, Haute Réflecture. Light weight, water + wrinkle resistant, quick drying and striking day or night, our Collections make the perfect travel companion, for bikers and non-bikers alike.
Bright colors and rich textures during the day, few streets lights at night and fast moving hot rods 24/7, Havana is the perfect place to sport your Vespertine NYC Haute Réflecture Reflective Fashion. We had a blast shooting there with Havana Motor Club‘s super talented stills photographer Michael Coles. Check out these highlights…
