May is Bike Month and we’re starting this year’s with a Bang-Up weekend of events in NYC & CA!
In NYC:
Friday May 2nd and Saturday May 3rd we’ll be exhibiting at the biggest bike expo in the nation, Bike Expo New York (details below). Saturday, we’re hitting the runway at the Momentum Magazine Bicycle Fashion Show (at the Expo).
Saturday, May 3rd Bike Culture meets High Culture with our first TRUNK SHOW at the BROOKLYN MUSEUM Gift Shop from 4-9PM in conjunction with the opening of the much lauded bicycle-lover, Ai WeiWei exhibit. It’s a Target First Saturday so the museum is FREE from 5-11PM & there are a number of other special events- bring a date and spend the evening there!
In CA:
Thursday May 1st, Cycle MAYnia’s VELO VOGUE BICYCLE FASHION SHOW in Santa Barbara, CA will be turning the bike lanes into a Catwalk. Look for our latest styles on the Cycling Chic Models!

What?
Bike Expo New York is the most-attended consumer bike expo in the nation. On the two days leading up to the TD Five Boro Bike Tour, more than 50,000 cyclists roll through Basketball City to meet, greet, & talk shop with one another and 100+ exhibitors, from big brands like Specialized and Trek to local innovators like Vespertine. There’s truly something for everyone. Don’t know how to ride a bike? We’ll teach you. For free. Prepping for your next big race? Check out the latest in state-of-the-art gear. Merch sales, product demos, giveaways, panels, contests, entertainment – it’s all at the Expo.
Why?
In addition to serving as the hub for Packet Pickup for those riding in the Tour, Bike Expo New York is the place for the New York City cycling community to come together and get the latest on what’s happening now in the bike world.
How?
Just hop on your bike and ride on down to Basketball City. Bike Expo New York is completely free and open to the public. Complimentary bike valet will be provided at the Expo by Transportation Alternatives.
