About: Vespertine X Heather Glista:
We're thrilled to present this gorgeous micro-collection of one-of-a-kind reflective sweaters created for Vespertine by Heather Glista. The collaboration is an effort to reduce textile waste while creating unique high visibility street wear that is both beautiful and functional. Glista, a Massachusetts-based designer, is a genius at up-cycling, recycling, and refashioning textiles into wearable art.
She has constructed each piece by hand, pairing knit merino wool/reflective yarn remnants, (up-cycled from our manufacturing process and otherwise headed for landfill), with recycled wool and cashmere. You’ll find cozy pockets aplenty, oodles of hand stitching, and Vespertine’s signature reflective detailing throughout.
You may also find some evidence of wear or distress on some of these pieces. Rest assured that these imperfections do not affect the durability of the garment, and only add to the unique character of each piece. True treasures, we hope you enjoy wearing them as much as we enjoyed creating them!
